POF 0.8Alpha
============

POF is a small and simle to use program you can use to download (export) a single mailbox from a POP3 server to a plain file, readable by most email
clients (e.g Netscape).

Installation
============

If you can read this, you're done. If you don't like the directory in which you unpacked POF.EXE and Readme.txt, just move the files. Click on POF.EXE to start.

Features
========

Current features:
- User selectable POP3 port, mailserver, mailbox and password.
- Save and loadable profiles for different users/ISPs.
- Download and append mail to a local file (mailfolder).

  Note: Since I haven't been able to test the resulting fileformat with *every*
  mailprogram yet, you might want to save to new file and test it with your
  mailprogram, before appending to one of your existing mailfolders.

Comming features in version 1.0:
- Simultaneous resending of downloaded mail via a user selectable SMTP server
  and port (resending/rerouting).
- A more complete implementation of the POP3 protocol.
- Activation of the "delete mails from server" functionality.

Maybe later:
- Complete download/replay schemas for large workgroups with any number of ISPs.
- Server mode with:
  . Remote administration
  . Automatic resending of mail not downloaded in long time.
- IMAP4(rev1) support

Click on File/Open and select "example.pof" to load a profile you can use as a
template.
